It’s time for radical solidarity.
Currently, 8 of our recipient partners have closed indefinitely and cannot receive fresh groceries to redistribute. But we are committed to continuing our work on the front line of hunger relief throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to most effectively meet the growing needs of the community we will need additional financial resources, sanitation/cleaning products), and increased people power.
At this time, CSFR has determined that the best option for meeting the community’s growing needs is to convert our office at the Helen Hunt campus into a community food resource center. Effective immediately, groceries from all closed programs are being re-routed to CSFR's office in the Helen Hunt Campus for distribution Tuesday through Saturday.
Can we count on you to mobilize with us?
Join- Mutual Aid Hunger Response Team:
In order to meet the unique challenges currently posed with ensuring community-rooted fresh food access, CSFR is creating a Mutual Aid Hunger Response Team. The purpose of this team is to have a coordinated list of folks who can mobilize food rescue shifts, grocery distribution, community-care, and coordinated hunger actions in the coming weeks. Please sign up to learn more about how you can get involved.
We need Donations Now:
The closure of schools and businesses greatly increases the demand for healthy food access. If you have the means, please consider making a financial or in-kind contribution of any amount to ensure we are able to effectively respond to the immediate needs of the community.
